The EGR does gunk up over time and is, IMO, a useless system. To the OP, if you're handy with tools and fabrication (or know someone who is) you can delete the DPF and EGR systems yourself with a little work. All it needs is a pipe to replace the DPF system under the truck and some block off plates for the EGR up top.. At home workout equipment
